Purpose
Virksomhedens formål er at skabe, drive og udvikle ØsterGRO, Danmarks første bylandbrug, som et økonomisk bæredygtigt og jobskabende projekt, der producerer og formidler bredt økologi og lokalproducerede fødevarer. ØsterGRO er et lokalt og åbent bylandbrug, der afsætter grøntsager, æg og honning til foreningens CSA medlemmer, og hvor byens beboere kan følge en økologisk produktion af fødevarer, når ØsterGRO arrangerer rundvisninger, foredrag, workshops, undervisningsforløb, farmers markeder og middage. Salg af fødevarer sker via en CSA model, Community Supported Agriculture, som direkte forbinder landmænd og aftagere. Projektet har således til formål at skabe platform for formidling og afsætning af økologiske, lokalproducerede fødevarer, ikke blot de fødevarer, som produceres på taget, men også økologiske varer fra landet, ved at ØsterGRO opretter et tætkoblet samarbejde med en lokal økologisk gård i Københavns omegn. Derudover søger virksomheden at skabe forbindelse mellem by og land via formidling af flere CSA i fremtiden. Virksomheden laver også mindre byrumsprojekter og rådgivning i forbindelse med etablering af nye bylandbrug.
