About CVRdatabase

CVRdatabase brings together financial figures, owners, management and production units for 90,215 Danish companies in one place. The aim is to make public business information easier to read than in the source systems: five years of key figures in one table, the management with appointment dates, and a ranking against the rest of the industry.

Who is behind it

CVRdatabase is published by Jørn Absget, who is responsible for content and data processing. Enquiries about the site, corrections and personal data are sent via the contact page or to [email protected].

The site is run as an independent project. Neither advertisements nor paid plans affect which companies are shown or how the figures are calculated.

Where the data comes from

All company information comes from the Danish Central Business Register (CVR), which the Danish Business Authority maintains, and the financial figures come from the annual reports that the companies have filed with the Danish Business Authority. We add no assessments, scores or estimates of our own. How the figures are selected and calculated is described on the page Data and method.

What CVRdatabase is not

CVRdatabase is not the official register and is not affiliated with the Danish Business Authority or Virk. The database covers 90,215 active companies, not all businesses in Denmark. The authoritative source for all information is datacvr.virk.dk; if the two differ, the register applies.
